The quarterly meeting of the Trust was held on 21st August in Kilmalieu. There were no applications for funding.

The trustees discussed way of enabling the funds to be used for community benefit and are organising a special meeting with interested parties.

Applications are encouraged from organisations working for the benefit of people in the Ardgour Community Council area.

Application forms can be downloaded from the Ardgour Area Fund website or obtained from the Secretary, Taobh an Uillt, Clovullin, Ardgour.

The AGM of the Trust was held on 16th May in Ardgour and was an opportunity for funding recipients to showcase what the fund had allowed them to achieve.  It was a social evening and welcomed discussions on ideas for community projects the fund could support in the future. The retiring trustees were re-elected as were all sitting committee members.

It was decided to change the name of the Trust to reflect the generous annual donation from Glensanda.

The AGM was followed by the quarterly meeting of trustees. The application for funding was approved in support of the Dailmhor Project.

Quarterly Report February 2019

Ardgour Area Fund held their quarterly meeting on 13th February 2019.

There were two applications to be considered, one for assistance with the purchase of a saftey boat for Highland Open Water Swimming particularly the Corran Narrows Swim and one from an Eco Group looking at fridge/freezer replacement support who submitted their application via Ardgour Community Council. The first was given a partial grant and the second was approved with restricted conditions.  Applicants who have restricted funds and have passed their 2 year deadline were also discussed.  Reports on progress were received and the applications will be discussed again in November 2019.

The next meeting will be held on 15th May 2019 at 7.00 p.m. in Ardgour Hall and will be the AGM of the Area Fund.  Applications for funding should be submitted to the Secretary prior to 1st May 2019.

It was decided to hold a social evening with Cheese and Wine along with the AGM and to invite all recipients of grants to come along and share their success stories – pictures, reports will be welcome.

This will also be an opportunity to find out more about the Area Fund and bring new ideas for discussion about potential funding.

Invitations will be sent out but a warm welcome is extended to any interested groups.

Quarterly Report May 2018

Ardgour Area Trust held their AGM and quarterly meeting on 9th May 2018 in Treslaig Hall.

At the AGM, retiring Trustees, Michael Foxley, Ian Jackson and  Eilidh Gray were re-elected and office bearer posts were confirmed for the coming year.  A decision was made to appoint Pete White to position of Assistant Secretary and Trish Kennedy was appointed to Vice-Chair
