Meeting of the Trustees -November 2020

The Trustees met for the quarterly meeting on 18th November. A major part of the meeting was taken up discussing the potential to alter the constitution of the organisation to allow the use of funds for projects identified by the Trustees.  This would retain SCIO status and would require OSCR approval. It was agreed this would be looked into further. There was the potential for the Trust to become a Development Trust with little change apart from a wider membership from the community. The existing basis for Trustee selection could remain the same.
The meeting then considered an application from Ardgour CC for Core Paths improvement in Ardgour/Clovullin and Camusnagaul extension and improvement works. This was approved subject to conditions of matched funding being met.

The project has now been successfully completed and the Hall Committee are extremely grateful for the continued high level of support received from the Area Fund.  The support from members of the Hall Committee is also gratefully acknowledged and allowed the project to be completed under the new terms and conditions introduced which require matched funding.

Developing Potential

At a recent meeting of Ardgour Glensanda Trust, the trustees discussed potential opportunities for using the community benefit fund for wider community development across all the areas covered by the Ardgour Community Council Area.

The discussion is in the early stages and we would welcome feedback from members of the community of any ideas/interests they may have which could be considered.
